Two-Tailed Dog Party holds ‘Grey Peace March’ in Budapest

The satirical Two-Tailed Dog Party (MKKP) held a “Grey Peace March” in Budapest on Saturday under the motto “Let’s all be the same”.

The demonstration’s participants demanded sarcastically that everything be uniformly grey, arguing that “those who are unique are lonely, and those who are uniform are never alone.”
Addressing demonstrators at Heroes’ Square, Gergely Kovács, MKKP’s co-leader and mayor of Budapest’s 12th district, called for abolishing elections. But since Hungary did have elections, he said, everyone should either vote for the same party, or every party should have the same name.
He said they had had enough of the government still seeking the public’s opinion, and demanded that National Consultation questionnaires be filled out in advance.
Zsuzsa Suzi Döme, MKKP’s other co-leader, congratulated the demonstration’s participants on showing Brussels “how grey you can be”. She encouraged everyone to vote for the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrat alliance in 2026 “to bring about a country of immaculate conception”.
Krisztina Baranyi, the mayor of the 9th district, was critical of those in Hungary “who, after 15 years of international cooperation, still believe that anyone can love anyone, and these people want to march around in the city”. “If we’re not careful, this could lead to us catching up with Austria,” she said.
Balazs Sandor, the party’s political coordinator, welcomed that the government had “finally ended diversity by banning the Budapest Pride march”. “The time of individual opinions is over; we won’t let individualities suppress uniformity!” he said.
The “Grey Peace March” proceeded from Lendvay Street via Andrassy Avenue, Kodály Körönd, Delibab Street, Rippl-Rónai Street to Heroes Square. When the march reached the Russian embassy, the crowd demanded that Fidesz “call the Russians back”. They also demanded that the national animal be the Hungarian Grey breed of cattle, that the language of the national anthem be Russian and that everyone be named Lajos Kovács.
