The greatest figures of the industry

As Telex writes, the 2025 MOZ.GO Hungarian Cinema Festival is set to celebrate the enduring legacies of several film industry icons with prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards. The Hungarian Film Academy and the Hungarian Film Festival will jointly honour actress Irén Bordán, singer-songwriter Ferenc Demjén, actor László Gálffi, cinematographer-director Lajos Koltai, casting director Mari Makó, stunt expert Gábor Piroch, and Canadian producer of Hungarian descent, Robert Lantos. The awards recognise their remarkable contributions to Hungarian and international cinema, reflecting decades of creative excellence.

Hunyadi’s producer awarded

Robert Lantos, in particular, has made a lasting impression on Hungarian audiences through his work on the Hunyadi series, a historical epic based on the life of legendary 15th-century military leader János Hunyadi. Originally envisioned as a feature film in 2012, the project evolved into a highly acclaimed 10-part series that premiered a decade later, solidifying Lantos’s role in reviving national history through cinema. This year’s festival, taking place from 18 to 21 June across Veszprém, Balatonfüred, and Balatonalmádi, will feature screenings connected to the awardees.
