Beware! These are the Hungarian ‘death roads’

The Hungarian Public Road Nonprofit Ltd. has finalised its 2025 accident hotspot report using GPS data from traffic accidents between 2022 and 2024 on the national road network it oversees. Below, you may find the so-called death roads in Hungary.
Their study pinpoints road segments with repeated personal injury crashes due to similar causes, showing where the highest accident risks occur. The top three most hazardous road sections listed for 2025 are:
- Martfű (Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County, Main Road 442, km 14+800): 9 accidents, 2 of them fatal;
- Sárkeresztes (Fejér County, Main Road 81, km 9+387): 12 personal injury accidents over three years;
- Pinnye–Fertőhomok (Győr-Moson-Sopron County, Main Road 85, km 62+794): 8 accidents, 6 of which caused serious injuries.

A thorough analysis will be prepared to recognise the most dangerous segments, and the company will carry out focused traffic safety measures.
